A Russian anti-smoking banner in the streets of central Moscow Russia has reached international attention and sparked a debate since a Russian liberal MP, Dmitry Godkov, posted a picture of the large ad to Facebook, which he saw at a bus shelter in Moscow.

The controversial banner says:

"Smoking kills more people than Obama, and he kills a lot of people. - Don't smoke. Don't be like Obama."

Gudkob wrote that he found the poster "disgusting and embarrassing", and the ad quickly sparked debate and extensive Russian media coverage, according to i100 who first reported on the story.
