A 16-year-old South Carolina boy, Davis Allen Cripe, died in a heart attack, after had been drinking too much caffeine in one day.

Davis died as a result of a cardiac incident following consumption of several caffeinated beverages.

According to Davis parents, the boy was at good health. But somehow his heart stopped due to his consuming of energy drinks.

It is reported that Davis, who attended the Spring Hill High School, drank a large diet soda, a latte and an energy drink in the two hours before he fell ill, Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said in a press conference.

He was rushed to the hospital, where he later died as a result of a heart attack.
