Robber breaks his leg during burglary, calls police for help, gets arrested

A robber in Alexandria, Virginia broke his leg during a burglary in an apartment when he jumped off a balcony after the owner suddenly returned home. Then he decided to call for help and got arrested by police instead, Yahoo News reports.

Police say 21-year-old Leoul Yosef will be charged with burglary on Wednesday after his release from hospital.

Fairfax County Police Officer Don Gatthardt says Yosef left tracks in the snow when he jumped, and the police were following the snow trail when they received a 911 call from a man in the vicinity saying he’d broken his leg. Responding officers matched the identity of the caller to the burglary suspect.
