19-year-old amateur football player, Estevao Alberto Gino, was killed last week by a crocodile when he was training along side a river.
Estevao Alberto Gino, who played for Atletico Mineiro de Tete, had stopped jogging along the Zambezi riverbank to drink some water and to cool down when he was attacked and killed by a giant crocodile.
“The crocodile came out of the water abruptly and took him by the waist. After that, the animal ran back into the water,” said the club’s owner Edy Carvalho to O Tempo.
Estevao Alberto Gino’s boyd was never found.
