British landlord tycoon, 70-year-old Fergus Wilson, is attached to a scandal and is accused of racism. According to the Sun, he instructed his real estate agents, that they shouldn’t rent his properties to “coloured people,”┬ábecause the smell of curry “sticks to the carpet.”

A leaked email to British media, is said to have revealed how Wilson ordered his property agents not to rent to “coloured people”. Apparently he wrote:

“No coloured people because of the curry smell at the end of the tenancy.”

He also gave the agents instructions to not rent his properties to single parents, wives who were victims of abuse by their spouse, people working as plumbers, and low-income workers.

Defending himself, Wilson told The Sun, “To be honest, we’re getting overloaded with coloured people. It is a problem with certain types of coloured people – those who consume curry – it sticks to the carpet.” He added, “You have to get some chemical thing that takes the smell out. In extreme cases you have to replace the carpet.”
